➱ Life in the fast lane!
Men love fast, expensive, exotic cars – high-performance luxury vehicles are a status symbol, a sign of superiority and male dominance! Not to mention they turn women on!
When guys come to Las Vegas for a Bachelor Party or a Guys Trip, for the most part, they get intoxicated, hit the dayclubs and nightclubs, make questionable decisions, deprive themselves of sleep, and spend a month’s paycheck at the gambling tables. While this is a fun and exciting way to experience the City of Sin, there is so much more to Vegas than the glitz and glamour of The Strip. Experiencing the great outdoors, hiking through Red Rock Canyon, climbing Mt. Charleston, or sightseeing in the Valley of Fire, are must-see attractions, as well driving on the open roads, in the care of your dreams, that cuts through them.
If you have a need for speed and have always wanted to drive a supercar with no speed restrictions, then start saving up because this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You can handpick your dream car from a large collection of exotic and luxury vehicles, get behind the wheel and feel the power race through your body as you drive it through the stunning, southern Nevada landscape.
Imagine the groom-to-be and each of the best men driving a $350,000 Ferrari 488 convertible, speeding down the open roads and deserted one lane highways at excessive speeds for the ultimate driving experience. While the pool parties and nightclubs are enjoyable and can be a great way to meet girls, a sure fire way to truly get a woman’s attention is to drive down The Strip with the top down revving a ferocious Italian V8 engine and hearing it echo and purr through the Resort Corridor of towering skyscrapers.
While renting Lamborghini’s, Porches, Ferraris, and McLaren’s for each of your best men may not be financially feasible, but if the budget allows, we recommend a Monday or Tuesday after a long weekend of partying. For those adventurer-seekers on a much smaller budget, check out the affordable and super fun open air three-wheel motorcycle Slingshot vehicles, perfect for an exploratory day out in the desert.
The sheer beauty of both vehicles, combined with the beauty of the Nevada desert, provide unlimited photo opportunities that will be sure to make everyone jealous when you post them to your favorite social media platform. Whether you are driving a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, an Audi R8 Convertible, a Nissan GTR, or the more reasonably priced Slingshot SLR, each of these magnificent masterpieces of machinery will provide an exhilarating thrill unrivaled by many other activities in Vegas.
Below are a few of the most popular natural attractions that Vegas has to offer. Whether it’s in a V8 Twin Turbo 661hp Ferrari 488 Spider or a brand new 2020 C8 Chevrolet Corvette, the surrounding areas of the city are the best places for an open road adventure and a great opportunity to tear up the roads away from The Strip.
Mt. Charleston
Our personal favorite roads to drive on at Bachelor Vegas are located 40 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. Mt. Charleston, the highest mountain in the Spring Mountains ranging from 3,000 to nearly 12,000 feet in elevation and recorded as one of the top 10 most topographically prominent summits in the U.S., is a cool escape from the boiling desert landscape below. While driving the scenic byway during the summer months, you will notice the temperature sharply drops 25-30+ degrees when the City is 100-110 degrees, but in the winter and spring months the roads could be covered in a thick bed of sleet or snow.
Once you get to the small incorporated town of Mt Charleston, with a population of 357 people, be sure to check out the Mt Charleston Lodge. This hotel and restaurant provides a refreshing break from the road with breathtaking views of Kyle Canyon. When you get back on the road, make sure you take the NV-158 turn towards Lee Canyon Road otherwise known as Deer Creek Road. This 8.8 mile stretch is simply breathtaking. It is both an uphill incline and a downhill decline one road highway set on the rails of the side of the mountain that will give anyone driving or riding on it chills. Turn up the heat on a McLaren or Ferrari to truly experience a thrill ride. Along this road there will be many scenic overlook points perfect for a memorable and breathtaking photo. Overall, this is one of our favorite roads in Las Vegas, it is a welcoming departure from the city of bright lights and towering architectural wonders of the Las Vegas Strip. For those looking to hike Mt Charleston, check out the scenic Bristlecone Trail or the challenging Bonanza Peak.
Valley of Fire
The great state of Nevada has four national parks, the oldest of which is the Valley of Fire. This 46,000-acre recreation and nature preservation area was established in 1935 and designated as a National Natural Landmark in 1968. Valley of Fire is described as a geological wonderland and known for its spectacular fiery red Aztec sandstone which formed from shifting sand dunes during the Jurassic period more than 150 million years ago. These brilliant and unusual rock formations give the appearance of being on fire when reflecting the sun’s rays. It’s no wonder why Valley of Fire is visited every year by thousands of tourists from all over the world and featured in several motion pictures and TV shows.
The park is an hour drive north of the Las Vegas Strip. It costs $10.00 per vehicle for entry and is guarded very closely by Park Rangers, so this is not a good place to open the vehicle up but it is an incredible photo opportunity. With many hiking trails and camping options available, you can spend a lot of time exploring the petrified trees and pre-historic rock carvings that are estimated to be over 2,000 years old. Stopping at the Visitor’s Center is a must to truly appreciate the history and beauty of this park. Be sure to check out the monuments – The White Domes, Elephant Rock, and Seven Sisters are a few of the more breathtaking areas. Once you leave the park, follow the signs toward Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam taking NV-167. This long stretch of highway provides stunning views and winding roads along with a few extensive straightaways to really push the pedal to the medal.
Lake Mead & Hoover Dam
The iconic and technological modern marvel known as the Hoover Dam, a National Historic Landmark, is the highest concrete dam in the Western Hemisphere, standing at more than 725 feet above the Colorado River. In 1935 Hoover Dam created the Lake Mead reservoir by damming the Colorado River. Now almost a full century later, Lake Mead stands as another one of Nevada’s impressive national parks, 30 miles east of the Las Vegas Strip. Lake Mead National Recreation Area is an oasis in the desert that features boating, swimming, fishing, and hiking trails. With over 200,000 acres, this massive park offers something for every outdoor enthusiast. The open roads that lead towards Echo Bay and the Valley of Fire State Park, is a great area to really open up an exotic car, but beware, there are several state troopers and park rangers lurking who live to write tickets!
Red Rock Canyon National Park
Red Rock Canyon, showcasing its brilliant red rock formations that reach thousands of feet high, is a geological landscape only 25 miles west of The Strip. Red Rock Canyon National park encompasses 195,819 acres and is lined with a 13-mile scenic drive within the Mojave Desert. This escape from the blinding neon lights of Sin City provides a refreshing outdoor adventure filled with rock climbing and several hiking and biking trails. The park stays true to its red rock name as spectacular sandstone boulder peaks tower above the one way scenic drive. With many overlooks and areas to park, there are plenty of photo opportunities to be had. Because of the close proximity to the Las Vegas Strip and its one way scenic drive, the park and the road does get quite congested at times there’s not room to open up your exotic car, but Red Springs, Calico Basin, Pine Creek Canyon, and Turtlehead Peak are awe-inspiring wonders of nature.
