Despite being the oldest nightclub on the Strip, TAO Nightclub still remains on the top of the charts quite frequently. Set right off the main lobby of the Venetian Resort and Casino, this venue is the physical embodiment of the Las Vegas nightlife. On the outside, the club's ominously red entrance begs to be explored while the almost subliminally recognizable name beckons all walks of life. The interior is one of Sin City's hottest parties, accompanied by a sexy assortment of eye catching decorations such as the flower pedal-covered vixens in a large, white bathtub greeting your entrance into the nightclub.
What makes this nightlife venue the hottest spot on the strip, though? Is it the club's ability to entertain the masses or is it management's higher standards? Once you break down all of the components of the club, you'll come to find that it's a mix of several things - from the club's dress requirements to it's premier entertainment.
Just to find out how strict TAO's dress code policy is, try getting in line with jeans and a tee shirt. You'd probably get kicked off the line faster then the TSA would remove someone with a potential bomb.
Management keeps the club's standards unusually high, and it does so right off the bat with it's dress code policy. In short, a general rule of thumb is if you wouldn't wear it to a job interview, you shouldn't wear it to this or any other exclusive hot spot in Las Vegas. Men are required to wear button up shirts – and nothing decorated in offensive pictures or words. Sneakers, flip flops, work boots, slippers, and anything that isn't recognizable as a dress shoe will also be turned away.
Women are held to the same standards as men, but with enough cleavage, may be able to get away with a little more. Flip flops are still prohibited, but a nice dress sandal may make its way through the door. Of course, short dresses and high heels are the way to go, but this isn't Sapphire – keep your bits covered. When prepping, you'll want to dress for comfortable style, so you may want to reconsider the 8" heels.
You may be getting a little stressed out or annoyed at dress code requirements, but in reality, they're not all too different then other clubs. Consider also whether or not you would rather party with people that can afford dressy attire or the dregs of society that have been wearing the same underwear for the past week?
Bottle Service
Premium bottle service. Much like the mighty Sasquatch, many people have heard about it, but few people have actually seen it. For a club like this, procuring a premium bottle service is a costly endeavor, but it is certainly one that you should try at least once before you're six feet under.
Essentially, Premium Bottle Service is a fancier way of saying "VIP". You'll find your way into the club quite effortlessly. Once through Club TAO's impressive entrance, you will be escorted to your very own private VIP table; and don't worry about being separated from the rest of the party – VIP tables are right in the midst of the action.
Ah, VIP status. You've heard about it, but you've never actually experienced it. Your VIP, also known as a premium bottle service, will get you fantastically refreshing bottle of one of the club's top liquors. A party is not a party until the drinks start flowing, so this bottle service is the best way to get the party started.
There's only one way to guarantee yourself VIP status and to be on the receiving end of Premium Bottle Service, and that's with the help of Bachelor Vegas. Don't try to arrange things on your own, as you'll find yourself lost in a maze of contacts, phone calls, and a lot of cash. Bachelor Vegas will eradicate your worries and get you through the door with no problems whatsoever.
The size of this night club is far from the largest on the Strip, but that doesn't keep it from housing a sizeable dance floor. Expect the dance floor to constantly be packed, though – much like the rest of the club. Fueling the fire on the dance floor will be it's highly energetic resident DJ, DJ Vice. When DJ Vice is not behind the "turntable", you can expect to see the familiar face of celebrity entertainers such as DJ Politik, Nelly, and Nas.
No matter who is spinning the tunes, though, the dance floor is always open. Despite the overabundance of fellow guests, you will be far too engrossed in the excitement of yjr club's party to realize you're surrounded by countless hot bodies. Through its mash-up of Rock and Hip Hop music, TAO Las Vegas caters to a rather diverse crowd of musical tastes.
Speaking of celebrities, being the hottest spot on the strip, this venue is a celebrity / celebutant hot spot. On any given night, the club could be home to a range of celebutants like Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan. If you choose your night right, you'll find yourself mere feet from bigger stars like Ryan Gosling. With these stars under the same roof as you, you'll start to feel that celebrity status wash through the room and eventually overcome you.
TAO may be a nightclub, but it is far more then just that. It is an experience. It is the definition of opulence. It is the place to be in Las Vegas. There are other nightclubs on the Strip; and while this nightlife spot is always greeted with a massive line at the door, waiting and facing the chance of not even getting in is time well spent.

Tao nightclub is a carbon copy of the Tao in NY. The restaurant is delicious and the nightclub is huge with beautiful dark decor from the orient. you can definitely tell they dumped a lot of money into that spot. I've never had a memorable night and when I get invited, even for free dinners, I mostly opt out to stay home. I do like how they set up free dinners for the ladies on Thursdays. Those are fun. I really don't have anything good to say about this club. I went there with a couple of buddies and we were willing to do bottle service and we were treated like crap. We had to wait in a very long line just to talk to a host. Once we finally got up to the host he told us to hold so he could see what he could do. 15 minutes later he put us into a different line and told us to hold on while he wrote up the table. 10 minutes later we got walked to a table in a dark corner and got strong armed to buy more bottles if we wanted a better table. It was too late to walk out and leave so we just sucked it up and chilled out in the dark corner. The club is poorly laid out and the service sucks. I go to the Tao Club and Tao Beach every Memorial Weekend. I have always had a great time. My family and friends stay at the Venetian and there are always no regrets. However this year was different. I went to the Tao Club this weekend, I was having a great time with my girlfriends when one of the bouncers came up to me and hit on me. He said his name was James Lorenzo and was totally trying to hit on me and ask me my name and phone number. I told him politely I wasn't interested and he continued to harrass me. He then kicked me out of the club literally because I wouldn't give him my name and number. I didn't have my phone on me and he didn't tell my friends what happened to me or anything but they did see him continuously try to talk to me. Everybody that knows the Las Vegas nightclub scene has heard of this venue and theres a reason for that. While the Venetian isn't amongst my favorite casinos, TAO is certainly amongst my favorite nightclubs. Despite the enormous line that waits at the door, there isn't a thing about TAO I'd change. The last time I was there was for a birthday party, and the birthday girl (not me) was treated like a queen. There was a VIP host that seemed to be attached to our group and he made sure everything was perfect. Partway through the night a group of guys invited us up to their skybox where we had the perfect view of the action in the club. I LOVED it!!!!!!! Two of my friends and I went and we got in for free... we got free drinks for free. However, I dont know what the best part of the night was... If i'm not mistaken TAO is the oldest nightclub on the strip. If thats the case, than it has aged quite gracefully. I was at TAO just enjoying a night on the town and, outside of the long line that had me waiting 1 hour to get in, the experience was quite pleasant. For whatever reason, people that were behind me were being pulled in front without explanation, but i guess thats how nightclubs work. it is classic Vegas, and it sure shows. TAO may look gorgeous, but it does look just a little run down. The party is still hot as ever though... if you can ever go in. There are VIP areas throughout the entire Tao Las Vegas. While there are many on the main floor, there is an additional eight private sky boxes that include such amenities as espresso machines, banquettes, and mini-bars for your privacy and pleasure. TAO bottle service and dancing area takes 10,000 square feet of space and transforms it into a mix of the Orient and the most sensual aspects of New York City. The nightclub spans two areas in the upper part of the complex and is known for bringing in the celebrities along with everyone else. Tao is located across from the Grand Canal Shoppes of the Venetian. What can be said about it. Its been around forever... and while some of it shows a little wear and tear, overallt he club is still as pristine as I remember it being a few years ago when I first when. Two weeks ago I was invited to my girlfriend's bachelorette party and we were fortunate enough to sit at a VIP booth overlooking the dance floor. My only complaint about TAO right now is how extremely crowded it can get. We're talking shoulder to shoulder on the dance floor. Borderline uncomfortable. DJ Vice was spinning the tunes that night and he pretty much kept it standard. House music. Hip Hop. Top 40. no curveballs here, but it was enough to keep people dancing. After we topped off our bottle, we ordered a few drinks. Personally, for Vegas standards, they were a little cheaper than I expected. Not watered down either. Strong and goooooood. You do have to be weary of this club, though. being a legacy club, it attracts a lot of first-time Vegas-ites, and they're easy to spot with their cheap cologne. They think all girls are up for grabs. Whatever.
