The Palms Casino Resort recently welcomed a new eatery into its ranks. Known as Mabel’s BBQ, the new Las Vegas restaurant offers diners a mouthwatering menu of classic American cuisine, including a wide selection of barbecue staples. Mabel’s BBQ Las Vegas takes up a 9,183 square foot space, along with a large patio beer garden and a “Meateasy” dining room. You can find the barbecue joint at 4321 West Flamingo Road in Vegas with lunch and dinner options every day of the week. If you’re in search of a new spot to eat in Sin City, prepare to feast at Mabel’s.
The face behind Mabel’s BBQ in Las Vegas is no other than Chef Michael Symon. He’s no newcomer to the restaurant business with additional eateries in America such as Lola, Roast, Bar Symon, and B Spot Burgers. After growing up in a Greek and Sicilian family, Chef Symon decided to share his passion for bold flavors and delicious dishes with the rest of the world. You may have seen him on Iron Chef on the Food Network or as the host of Burgers, Brew & ‘Que on the Cooking Channel. He was also a co-host on ABC’s The Chew.
The menu at Mabel’s BBQ is extensive with many incredible options to choose from. You’ll find meats like beef brisket, pork belly, and turkey sold by the half pound. You’ll also discover delicious sandwiches such as the Chopped Brisket Burrito, Beef & Cheddar, and Pork Belly Tacos. If you prefer a salad, there are several appetizing selections, such as the Kale & Apple and the Chickpea Salad. Side options include Loaded Fried Potatoes, Hot Greens, Smoked Beets, and Spiced Mac and Cheese, among others. The menu at Mabel’s also includes fine wines and dozens of drafts.
Mabel’s BBQ can be found on the north side of the casino floor of the Palms Casino Resort, near the Race & Sports Book. Chef Symon chose the Palms for their new restaurant location for good reason. He wanted a location that wasn’t as massive as some of the other casinos in Las Vegas, allowing guests to maintain a more laidback and relaxed atmosphere where conversations can be had. Mabel’s BBQ offers just 250 seats and has three custom smokers. Also found inside Mabel’s is Sara’s, a 45-seat supper club that gives diners a feel of old-world glamour.
Mabel’s BBQ in Las Vegas is just one of several chef-drive concepts that will be opening this year at the Palms Resort. As part of the casino’s major $690 million remodel, you can also expect to see other new restaurants opening, including Marc Verti’s Verti Cucino which should be arriving in November, as well as Bobby Flay’s Shark which is expected to open in March. Of course, if you have your eye on a plate of delicious barbecue than you won’t want to go anywhere but Mabel’s. You’ll leave feeling fully satisfied and without spending a lot of money. The prices are very affordable.
Mabel’s can get quite busy so it is best to reserve a table for your group ahead of time if you want to ensure seats will be available. Also be sure to check out the events that are going to be happening at the new eatery throughout the year. From their recent St. Paddy’s Day celebration to other exciting events, there is always something fun happening. At Mabel’s, valet parking is available, and there is also a parking lot and parking garage nearby. The dress code is casual and the restaurant is kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible. Be sure to stop by and sample the barbecue cuisine for yourself.
