Las Vegas Hotels Review

When somebody brings up the topic of Las Vegas hotels, it's inevitable that a well known property like Caesars Palace or Bellagio will become the focus of the conversation. With dozens of major properties lining the Las Vegas strip, it's easy to forget that there is a whole world of hospitality beyond the stretch of road between Mandalay Bay and the Stratosphere.

While most of the tourism focal point falls upon what is commonly known as the Vegas Strip, it should be known that the outskirts of the City of Lights is home to an innumerable amount of smaller known properties ranging from the business friendly Marriot's Residence Inn to the more casual Sam's Town Hotel. Spending your vacation at these off-the-strip locations could benefit you in several ways, including saving quite a bit of money on extended stays.

When visiting Vegas, it's very easy to get wrapped up in the action happening on Las Vegas Boulevard. With easy access to a string of the main hotels creating less of a need for rental car's, staying on the Strip at hotels like the luxurious Caesar's Palace or the elegantly decorated Mirage is the most appealing option to vacationers. For those wishing to venture outside of the bright lights and busy sidewalks, on the western border of Vegas sits the Red Rock Casino and Resort. Sporting a breathtaking view of the Red Rock Canyons and a bird's eye view of the illuminated Strip, Red Rock offers five-star amenities at the cost of a local Holiday Inn. The separation from Red Rock to the Strip, while no more than a twenty minute drive, offers a serene peacefulness that some of the more centralized hotels do not.

If a place like Red Rock sounds a bit too out of the way for your tastes, than look to go east and stay amidst the Wild West at Sam's Town Hotel and Casino. Decorated to give the allure of an old western ambiance, Sam's Town may not have the flair that the bigger properties have, but the experience is one to behold. Fitted with a full sized bowling alley, dining galore, and a romantic walkway known as Mystic Falls, Sam's Town is peaceful without creating a dull experience.

Though better known for its Casino properties, Las Vegas is also home to family and business friendly properties both close to and separated from the Strip. If you're looking to stay close to the action, but not right on top of it, Las Vegas is home to a small circle of hotels no more than two minutes away from Mandalay Bay and the Luxor. Set right off of Dean Martin Drive, you can find yourself staying at either a Residence Inn, Courtyard Inn, Holiday Inn, or Fairfield Inn. While the quality of the amenities of these properties pale in comparison to the major hotels, the price per night is a fraction of the cost and allows for more time at the slot machines.
