''What to do, where to go''
I have friends who go to Vegas every year for the Final Four. Only about half of them give a damn about the games, but it’s a good excuse to get them all together when the weather’s nice, but not hot, and they just bum around town for the weekend, getting into trouble. The stories I get second hand have been a hoot. This year may be the first year they go to Vegas on a non-basketball weekend because their focus has gotten further and further away from the sports and more toward whatever other kind of shenanigans they can get into.

However, if you’re going to go to Vegas for a sporting event, I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t opt for the big one. The best Super Bowl party you could ever throw yourself will be pretty pale in comparison to seeing it in Vegas, where you could watch the game on a screen the size of your living room back home. Why settle for whatever your local bar offers as game day grub when you can choose from some of the best culinary treats in the entire US? For that matter, if you take your sports seriously, why not put some money on the game? I don’t ever do enough homework to bet too seriously, but it adds to the tension of the game, and I’d easily part with a few bucks to take a stab at who would score first or how close the game would be.

So, will every bar and casino in the city be doing something for the big day? Or The Big Game as most of them will call it, because the official name of the game is copyrighted and fiercely protected. Odds are, yes, you won’t be able to turn around in Vegas during that weekend without hearing about the game or seeing an offer or a party. That means a lot of choices, and while I’d like to think that I could change venues at half time just to get a different vibe, I don’t really want to skip the half time show or miss out on one of those commercials everyone will be talking about when I show up. To say nothing of finding a decent seat after the game has already started. You better believe I’ll be claiming my table early to insure I get the best seat I can.

Now, I don’t take my sports seriously enough that I want to watch the game in a sports book, but if you’re hardcore, that’d be a good place to start. The sports book at the Hard Rock has only 60 seats, and almost one plasma screen per two people, so it’ll be exciting without being rowdy. There are certainly bigger sports books, the MGM, Aria, Mandalay Bay, and even if you don’t want to hang out in the book all day, there are always bars nearby.

If you want to check in on the game without it being the strict focus of your Sunday, you can always check out a game day party at a strip club. Yeah, it wasn’t the first thing to come to mind for me, either, but really, why the hell not? Sapphire will set you up with free transport, VIP seating, a big-ass buffet, actually everything but drinks and singles, for a reasonable price. I don’t think it’s what I’ll be opting for, but especially if I was meeting a crew of buddies in Vegas for the party? Seems like a pretty good option.

Me, after all my considered options, I think I may just keep it classy and casual and watch the game at Hooters. The wings will be hot, the beer will be cold, no one will be taking themselves too seriously, and it won’t break the bank.

''Best Super Bowl Party in Vegas''
If you are looking for the best Super Bowl party in Vegas it is without a doubt Casa Di Amores party. We have been there the last 3 years and the party get bigger and better every year. The party is all inclusive and the doors open at 1:00 over 2 hours before the game even starts. All you can drink 2 hours before the game starts sounds good to me. See you there !!! - ( Super Bowl Las Vegas Review )

    ''Superbowl!''
Superbowl! Superbowl! Superbowl! I did not know vegas was such a big place for football. my brother and i were traveling for superbowl weekend and thought we would join the crowd at one of the local nightclubs. when we got there two nights earlier, we were told by the guy at the door that we might as well stay in the hotel room for the superbowl. my brother did some research, found Bachelor Vegas, and made a call. Not sure what happened, but we were able to access the club (Marquee, I think) almost immediately. we had a booth of our own which apparently attracts the attention of the ladies. it was a great night, so much so that we actually forgot to watch the game that was playing right by the bar. next year we're coming back, but we're going to use bachelor vegas to go somewhere a little quieter. I hear the strip clubs play it off amazingly, though Marquee had plenty of gorgeous women in jerseys. - ( Super Bowl Las Vegas Review )
